Cat’s Meow is a 1961 Penn Yan All Seas runabout which underwent an extensive restoration here at Brightside Wooden Boat Services in 2012. She has been… used very little since as her owners only come to Maine for a few weeks every year. She has been stored inside. CAT’S MEOW is 19’ long with a 7’10” beam and is powered by a 1962 Mercury 1000 outboard. Brightsides replaced most of her frames, deck, and transom. Her frames were made with steam-bent white oak. Her new transom, bottom and sole were done from okoume and Philippine mahogany. Mahogany was used to make her new deck frames and deck. The crew also rebuilt her windshield frame but was able to save most of the original wood on that part of the boat. They finished the boat in Interlux Schooner varnish and 4359 Brightside White paint.
