Joe Merrill of New Caanan, Connecticut, surprised his wife, Tracy, with the acquisition and commission for a restoration on this 1962 16′ Old Town for Christmas. Who wouldn’t want that under the tree? Joe since acquired the history card indicating that this craft was finished in July 1962 and shipped to Bud’s Shopping Center in East Corinth, Maine. Her color was white and she was sold to a gentleman named Al Worcester. We love working on Old Towns, not only because of the Maine heritage, but because we admire the quality of construction and craftsmanship.
